Neighbors United awarded $112,000 over the next 3 years from the DC Children & Youth Investment Trust Corporation.
This September, Neighbors United was awarded a 3-year grant from the DC Children & Youth Investment Trust Corporation to support NU's afterschool programming. The grant was awarded under The Trust's "Proven Success and Sustainability" category, The Trust will invest over $112,00.00 dollars over the next 3 years.


Starting this Fall, Neighbors United will be a service provider for Adult Basic Education Courses and GED Preparation.
Neighbors United is proud to announce its new partnership with the District of Columbia Office of the State of Superintendant of Education (OSSE) to be a service provider for Adult Basic Education Courses and GED Preparation. Registration is projected to start in late October.


Neighbors United Welcomes New Executive Director.
Neighbors United hires Betsy Calloway the Founder and Executive Director of Kidney Kare 4 Youth & Adolescents, Inc. (KK4YA) a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization as Executive Director for Neighbors United on May 10, 2010. Ms. Calloway was brought on board to take Neighbors United to the next stage, by incorporating nutritional and educational based programming into the existing afterschool curriculum, as well as, finding new funding opportunities for the organization. Ms. Calloway took the place of Jerry May the former Executive Director of Neighbors United for the past three years.
